The One Piece Gold pack opened a +EV window on July 8, 2026, peaking at +5.4% EV about 19 minutes after open, driven almost entirely by three new Lineup cards that weren't in the pool before the window.
What moved the needle
The before_window and at_open snapshots share the same timestamp (Jul 8, 10:55 AM PT) and identical card lists, so the pool going into the open was already set. The jump to positive EV happened between at_open (−1.3%) and at_peak (4.3% in the snapshot, 5.4% at the precise peak per our tracking).
Three Lineup cards appeared at peak that weren't in the open pool at all:
- Ace & Sabo & Luffy (2025 One Piece) at $197, contributing $3.86 to EV at 1.9595% odds
- Monkey.D.Luffy (2026 One Piece) at $197, same contribution
- Vinsmoke Reiju (2026 One Piece JPN) at $138, contributing $2.71
Those three additions alone account for roughly $10.27 in combined EV contribution, against a $100 pack price. Meanwhile, several cards present at open were gone by peak, including a second Monkey.D.Luffy (2025 One Piece, $161) at the Lineup tier and Shirahoshi (2025 One Piece, $80). Net, the new entries outweighed what left.
The odds shift also played a role. Lineup cards moved from 1.9995% at open to 1.9595% at peak, a small tightening, but with 40-plus Lineup slots carrying meaningful values, that 0.04-point drop trimmed individual contributions modestly across the board. The new entries more than compensated.
The Grail tier stayed constant throughout: two Monkey.D.Luffy (2025 One Piece) cards at $5,150 each sat at 0.0167% odds the entire window, contributing $0.86 apiece. The Nami (2024 One Piece) Grail at $4,500 held steady at 0.0167% as well. High ceiling, but those contributions didn't change.
The arc
The pack sat at −1.3% before and at open. It cracked positive sometime between 10:56 AM and the 11:15 AM peak reading, then decayed from there. By close at 12:25 PM the pack was back at −1.1%, with a leaner pool (61 cards versus 61 at peak, but with the three peak additions gone and replaced by a different mix of mid-tier Lineup cards).
The window lasted about 1½ hours across 78 readings. Peak EV was +5.4% on a $100 pack, reached about 19 minutes after open.
